When I have a special show need, hiking, winter, running, etc., I find that I usually turn to Merrell. Merrell shoes fit me and I like the quality. I have a pair of ankle height Merrell hiking boots that are awesome but way too warm for hot summer hiking. So I thought I would try these as they say they are waterproof but "breathable". How can that be? Well, that is exactly what they are. I wore them to hike in the woods with my dog on a hot Spring day. First time wearing them. They were absolutely comfortable from the start. Fit perfectly. I wear size 7 and ordered size 7. And I didn't realize it but actually ended up wearing them the entire day even when I wasn't walking on the soggy forest trail. I love how they look so I have been wearing them for everyday wear as well even when there aren't any puddles.
