I ordered half a size up based reviews- that wasn’t necessary, so I went back down half a size. Again based on reviews I got a wide. This was also not necessary (UNLESS I intended to wear thick socks, which I do not). So I ordered a 7. My expected size. They are a bit narrow. But as I’ve worn them around the house for a bit now, they feel ok- and I highly expect they will give. If I’m totally wrong about that- I’ll write back :)There was a busted stitch on the 7 wide I got, and the 7 has a funny stitch on the tongue where the stuffing might try to escape at some point. I’m not happy about that for a good brand like Columbia :( but don’t have time to return ANYMORE shoes.I’m a size 7. I tried on a pair in a store — which only had this model in another colorway — and discovered that the 7 was too tight for me. The 8 fit me better. So glad I tried it on before I ordered this, in the colorway I liked, online.Already wore it on light muddy terrain. Kept the moisture out.FYI, I'm nearly 71 years old and I'm training for a 5k trail run this September. I tell you this because some of what I have to say may sound strange. Just took these shoes out on the trail for the first time. I wish the shoe box was just a little wider. I have to wear bunion pads but even my toes were a bit smooshed. They fit like a glove - unfortunately you have to wear extremely thin socks with them or they don't fit at all. Overall, I like them. They have great ankle support, which is good because I clipped my toes on several rocks on the trail today but didn't fall. They have great traction. If you walk or run trails, regular sneakers are not good. Trail sneakers give you traction you need and keep your foot from twisting on the rocks, roots, twigs, etc. If I find that I need to wear thicker socks with them, I may purchase another pair 1/2 size larger. Overall, I really like them even with my bunions, corns, hammer toe and blisters - I was able to tolerate the jog.The shoes fits well. Looks good. I have not worn them yet.Kept my feet try throughout Iceland. The grip worked really well on slippery terrain. I have terrible plantar fasciitis so sized up one size and used my Super Feet inserts. This a a nice light waterproof sneaker. But there just isn't enough arch support to make me feel like I could walk in these all day.Great quality and very comfortable and lightweightbest hiking shoes I have owned. These shoes looked good but the sizing was all wrong - the box said 5 in large print then in small print it said uk3...I doubled checked that i had ordered uk 5 and that was correct...so something has gone wrong at their end. It ended up as a waste of time to have to deal with a return.Smart looking shoes but sole is not particularly grippy. The shoes have a narrow toe box and the fitting guide on the website was inaccurate. I am not sure if a half size larger might have fitted but did not want the hassle of another return if they did not. Disappointed as I so need a waterproof pair of walking shoes.I like these walking shoes very much. Comfortable straight away. Good grip on the soles. I take a 39/6 in Converse but size up to 7/40 for these and they are a great fit.
