I wear between an 8 to 8.5. I followed the advice of another customer and got a 10. Ten would be fine with a thick pair of socks. Otherwise, I'd purchase a 9.5. These boots are wonderful at keeping my feet warm, even in the snow. My feet are cold. Nothing warms them up. I've brought all kinds of shoes and socks and these boots are the only ones that keep me warm. I tried wearing 2 pairs of socks since I had some wiggle room. My feet sweat and got cold. If I keep it to one normal thickness sock they don't overheat and sweat. They stay warm. I tried some lamb's wool shoe inserts, but they pulled my socks down and my feet again sweated and got cold. These boots work without any help. The laces need replacing. They do not begin to keep these cinched tight. I bought some 60 inch wide waxed purple laces and they keep them snug and the wax keeps them in place. The boots are not the most comfortable to wear all day long, but worth it for the warmth. I didn't buy them for looks, but I've received complements on them. They sure have good traction in snow. I bought the purple ones. They're a saturated middle of the road purple. They were worth the money.
