Salomon used to have a less stylish version; this one looks passable as a sneaker but man, the sole is pretty floppy and also the toe box is quite narrow, so it's not great for walking a lot. (I have wide feet)Nevertheless it got me through a 12 mile paddle where we had like 15 beaver dams over which to portage, it was very demanding, and these held up and were grippy and gave toe protection. And they dried faster than keens, and didnt smell too foot-y at the end (plus look nicer). But for this price I'd love a shoe I can also walk in.
