I am still in the “breaking in” stage for this shoe but I’ve been buying and trying on a TON of hiking boots and shoes for a hiking trip to Scotland. My local store doesn’t have any in 10 wide so a lot of this has been online and returns and these are kind of awesome. Most of the wide shoes I’ve found have been like tanks on my feet. I just have a wide part from toe to toe but the rest of my foot and heel are normal sized for a marathon runner, so finding that these fit me well is fantastic. They definitely seem waterproof and tough, which is what I was looking for, for Scotland, but they’re not insanely bulky like many I’ve tried on in stores or from Amazon. Loving them so far and can’t wait to take them on the trails!I have recently only wore Ahnu boots and hikers. Well, of course, they quit making them. So sad. It has taken me quite awhile to find another one comparable. I do not like the “other” 3 most popular brands. Nevertheless, the Oboz is a great boot, and very comparable!! (They also have other styles to choose from.) Perfectly waterproof, fits great with room for a thicker sock as well. Great support. However, it needs a good break-in time, unless your feet are perfect and nothing ever bothers them, as they are quite stiff. Hence the 4 stars!!They fit like a hug. I bought an 8.5 wide. COmfortable from the start.I have flat feet and when I was introduced to Oboz I was hooked. They give me the arch support I need and are sooo comfortable. How often can you order a pair of shoes online and they fit perfectly right out of the box every time?Found these for my wife in the wide she wanted. Order was promptly filled correctly.I previously wore the Oboz Sawtooth II and LOVED them. Unfortunately, that style has been discontinued so I needed a plan B. I decided to try the Sapphire. They look nice and are well made. However, the uppers are so stiff! I've been walking short distances in them for months now and they still feel like concrete blocks on my feet. So disappointed ?I appreciated that I could get it in a wide width. These are my favorite brand of hiking shoes because of their grip and support. I hike on dry, rocky trails, and these have great grip and sole protection. I love the arch support and stiff sole. Ordered my regular size. These are much more durable than other popular brand hiking shoes I've worn in the past.I like these shoes, they are very comfortable, once I replaced the insoles with Dr.Scholls as I do with all my shoes, they were perfect. We went for a 6k hike the day they arrived and I didn't slip or feel fearful on steep hills at all, the grip is very good. I ordered a size up and they fit perfectly, there was enough room for my toes. Very nice suede feel, you can see they are well made, it feels solid and there were no heel abrasions going on.It’s my fourth pair of Oboz and again these are as great as the others. They are comfortable and didn’t have an issue breaking them in. Can’t wait for hiking season to try them on the trails. Highly recommend Oboz footwearVert cute for a hiking shoe, comfortable, great quality and arch support. Cons: run half size small, very slippery on wet wooden surfaces and leafs. These took a few days to break in. I was worried as there was some pressure around the widest part of my foot, but after a few hours of walking, they relaxed and fit like a dream. They stay in place on my heel. Waterproof, sturdy, great sole grip.
