I bought these shoes a year ago for walking my dogs in the wet Pacific Northwest. First of all, I agree with other reviewers that these shoes seemed particularly stiff and have a narrow toe box. I wear 8.5 in non-athletic shoes, and bought these in a 9. They were still a bit snug, and It took me forever to break them in enough to wear comfortably for longer walks. But just as they were finally feeling a bit more comfortable, the waterproofing in some spots has started wearing off. Figuring a few months of the year that I've had these shoes were the "dry months" when I didn't wear them, I'm quite disappointed in their longevity. I see they're now $40 more than I paid a year ago, so I'll be looking elsewhere for a replacement.
