I ordered the size 8.0 black boot however they were snug enough I could not wear thick socks, so I returned them for a size 8.5 which were a little loose but were perfect with a thicker sock. I have not hiked in the boots yet, but they were comfortable walking around the house and seem to be well made. Another plus is they have long shoelaces. I also like the fact they are much more stylish than the typical hiking boot. I plan to put scotch guard on the material part of the boot to protect from moisture.
